Correct loading matters as much as detergent. Spray arms need a clear path, and large items mustn't block water from the rest.
Lower rack
- Pots and large plates at the sides, soiled faces toward the centre.
- Large trays upside down, as LG suggests, to reduce water deflected at the door.
- Don't let long handles block the arm.
Upper rack
- Cups and glasses upside down at a slight angle.
- Light plastics on top, away from the heater.
Common mistakes
- Overloading.
- Nesting dishes.
- Using hand soap.
- Neglecting the filter.
Quick test
After loading, spin the spray arms by hand to make sure they don't hit anything.
